Not a single day passes without us hearing or reading about the deaths of innocents in different parts of the world especially the places where Muslims are in the majority. A sizable number of these killings if not all, are of Muslims by Muslims be it Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria or any other place.
This is in spite of the fact that Muslims claim to profess a faith that tells them killing an innocent human being is like killing the whole mankind and saving a life is like saving the whole mankind.
What could be the etiological factors underlying this metamorphosis to a senselessly violent behavior within a nation in such a short period. Ask the immigrants from Pakistan who came to this country in early 70s and 80s, they will tell you how serene, peaceful and cordial was the culture in that country. Westerners naively or maliciously have blamed Islam for this carnage, accusing it to harbor an ideology that rewards violence and bloodshed while concerned and reflective minds among Muslims have blamed it on misinterpretation and misapplication of Islam promoted by Mullahs.
However it simply baffles the logic that a great and well preserved message that revolutionized the world with its immense contribution to humanity could degenerate overnight into a cult of vampires. It simply doesn’t add up.
The more deeply you ponder the more clearly you see your logic converging out into only two possible explanations.

Muslims on a mass scale have been afflicted with an emotional and psychological sickness. In individuals who have experienced a severely traumatic situation it is seen, not uncommonly, that they have become insecure, delusional, agitated and either harmful to self or others. This is a well recognized psychiatric condition called PTSD-post-traumatic stress disorder. Projected to the whole Muslim world, there are lot of similarities. Muslims have been subjected to extremely traumatic conditions during past few decades. Be it cruelty of ruthless dictatorships, colonization or blatant invasion and mass killing carried out by most powerful bombs and drone attacks, no other nation has seen so much physical and emotional trauma than Muslims in the modern history. It seems that the whole Muslim world is suffering from PTSD with associated loss of reasoning, insecurity, delusions, paranoia and harmful behavior directed towards self.

Behind all the violence in the Muslim world there is an external hand of conspiracy operating through an underground ‘intelligence mafia’ in the form of Mossad, CIA, KGB and many others. Many Muslims frustrated and desperate for an explanation have blamed external forces for their problems which may quite likely be partly true.
Whether it is one of the above or both, the underlying factors are not religious. Why then Islam has been dragged into this mess with a bad name. There is ample evidence that Muslims themselves have used Islam to justify their actions and no wonder prejudiced minds in the west have capitalized on this opportunity to present Islam in a bad light. If above reasons are true it is obvious that Muslims have not used Islarn as stimulus for violence but as a source of help and rescue. In a hopeless situation, no one to turn to, with dictatorial and corrupt governments on their neck, they have often gone to Islam for hope and tranquility by either justifying their actions in the name of Islam or seeking strength from it to resist the ill effects of physical and emotional wounds which are bleeding and painful. This is a piece of my mind.
